July 28th, 2008Shark Week on Discovery
If you thought Shark Week was the week when a woman experiences menstration, you’re wrong. Every year Shark Week has been a Discovery Channel tradition where we learn little bits about these predators of the ocean. Today, “Surviving Sharks” hosted by Survivorman’s Les Stroud will explain the best way to to play it safe in the water. I am hyped!
July 25th, 2008Drunk-O-Vision
Just in time for the weekend. When most of you guys plan on getting sloshed, remember that things seem a little different when you’re drunk. Have a safe and sane weekend my friends!
UPDATE: SOLD OUT
********************
For you geeks with serious storage needs, ZipZoomFly has a pretty decent deal on 1 terabyte drives, only $159.99. I will be ordering 2 for work in a few minutes. These come with a 5-year warranty, lets just hope you don’t have to use it. I also read that by default they arrive with a jumper that limits you to a 1.5 Gbits per second transfer rate, but removing it will allow it to auto-negotiate to 3.0 Gbits per second. Cool beans!
ZipZoomFly (item # 10005936) - $159.99 + tax in CA
Here is the info on configuring the jumper:

July 24th, 2008My Woot Loot
My woot package actually arrived on Monday, but I have been so busy that I wasn’t able to take any pix of my booty. I didn’t receive anything super crazy, some other people received LCD’s, guitar sets, and Nokia N95’s. As usual it is well worth the $8 I spent and I would always opt to buy more in the future.
Summary of the goods:
1x Logitech Cordless Headset for Xbox
1x Red Tailed Hawk Porcelain Hinged Box (Birds of Prey Series)
1x Targus Digital Memory Card Case
1x Vector Rechargeable Hanging Arbor Lamp
22x Bags of Texas Air
July 23rd, 2008Mike Tyson’s Abandoned Mansion
Mike Tyson has fallen off the deep end running through $300 million+ in career earnings to actually being $27 million in debt. Mostly spending money on really stupid things, like the time he once spent $9,180 on 2 months of care for his white tiger. You read that right, A WHITE TIGER, you can’t make this stuff up. Well I stumbled upon a site that shows images of abandoned buildings and one happened to be Iron Mike’s Ohio mansion. In fact it was abandoned nearly 10 years ago and remains in a somewhat nice condition. The plants still look green and not too much vandalism. Check out the pictures yourself.
